Crater Crest

Another long day in the books. Over 10 miles and 4200' of vertical. We set out to reach the summit of Crater Crest and ski down the east side. Our descent was cut short by some pesky exposed rocks and the day turned into a night hike since the snow coverage was not as deep as we thought. We'll definitely come back later in the year when the coverage is more plentiful. The summit had some breathtaking views of the Sawtooth Range and Matterhorn Peak
