Eagle lake buttress

Making the most of a long weekend, we set out to climb Eagle Lake Buttress near Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe. It was a gorgeous day and the approach started out relatively easy, until we hit a nice, steep talus field. Kyle and I brought along our good friend, Reilly, to take him on his first multi-pitch climb. It was fun 5.6 climbing and because of the hefty approach, we were the only ones out there that day. A little extra effort goes a long way in seeking solitude in the Tahoe Basin.
